Question Species recommendation

I tried searching the forum but I didn't find anything that described the varieties of bananas that will successfully grow (and hopefully fruit) in the San Diego area (zone 9-10) so here goes......

I am looking for a banana species that will have the following characteristics:

- thrive in zone 9 - 10
- very sandy soil
- mostly full sun
- nice visual barrier (8 feet and taller)
- some wind tolerance
- tasty fruit!

Thanks in advance!!

Gerrit
