Default Re: How to tell the difference?

Generally, SDC's leaves are bunched up closer together at the base. Dwarf Cavendish the base of the petioles are spaced farther apart. Although I cannot see the base of the p-stem on the plants, I assume that they are in pots, rather than in the ground.

Did you measure the height of the plant form the top of the soil to the base of the top leaf, or from the floor? I'm looking at the top of the railing, and there appears to be only 18" - 20" to the base of the top leaf base. Assuming that the railing is at 42", the plant height with the pot would be, say, 62". Subtracting the height of the soil in the pot at say, 18", the plant height would be 44". Not too unusual for an SDC.

Based on the leaf formation and shape, and the height, I would think that that's a Super Dwarf Cav.
