Thanks for your messages; actually my litle banana house wasn't that good as i found out when we had our first freeze this week!

The covered leaves promptly blackened, so I've cut them off and wrapped insulation around the banana plant's stalk as well as more rice straw on the ground. I've put the silvery insulation over the lowered "roof" of the house. I feel this winter may be colder than average, so hope this will be OK.
