Default Re: browning leaves in winter

Hi I found with misting plants inside the house in winter that it does not help only seems to hurt,,reason being that when the water evaporates from the leaf surface it seems to pull moisture out of the leaf with it,,so I do not mist anymore instead I have 2 humidifiers that I have in the house to keep the humidity at about 45-55 percent ,,plus using city water wich has chlorine and alot of other bad stuff in it alot of plants seem to get leave burn from this water from misting thats also another reason i stopped misting, but if you must insist on misting fill water in bucket leave sit over night to let the gases breath out of it and than use that water to mist your plants with. Hope this was of some help!!!! Plus you can avoid haveing to mist all the way around if you spray your plants with wilt stop ,it helps your plant retain moisture in the leaf!!! but yet still allows your plant to breath pretty good!!!
