My Apple is currently growing in White sand, and have seen Ice Cream, and Williams growing on the beach, just have to water well. I would reccomend starting a compost to help get your soil nice a rich. If your soil has a hard time holding water there is a product called Aqua Rocks. Very awesome product mix a Table spoon into sandy soil and water until the rocks become full of water and they will release the water as the soil soaks it out of the Aqua Rocks. Seems to be helping my Apple that is in White Sand. I also use lots of Boost during season!
