I can't help getting my fingers into this thread... Gingers are nice but.. if you have the right conditions for them, watch out! I planted just 1 cutting of the Torch Ginger, Etlingera elatior, into a 4ft x 160ft raised planter and in 1 1/2 yrs it was full of them.
Take a look at the 2 pix of the Zingiber sp, see how big they grow and the way it competes with our favs!
