Hello there boys and girls,
I was trying to google anything to this topic, but only with little or no succes. Let's say, that as a happy grower I managed to get lots of fruit from several banana 'trees'. It's unlikely that my family will be able to eat it all at once and I don't want to give it to my neighbors and go buy standard bananas from grocery full of chemistry as we know it, when I ran out of selfgrown banana...
I would like to know, how to store bananas for as long as possible, when to cut them from tree, how to store them naturally, without conservants or chemical additives. Light or no light? Full sun or no sun? What temperatures, how long can they be stored? What are the best storing cultivars etc etc etc. Does freeze of -2°C hurt or is idle for light freezing.
Any and all information that you know about this topic would help me, thanks. Also, any links to sites, if so, would be benefcial too.
Sorry, if this is a double post, but I haven't found it anywere.
