That pattern for So Cal is perfect for blood oranges to develop their dark pigmentation and generally would give citruses deeper coloration that go along with astounding flavor. Over here in the north, between the SJV and Sacramento Valley, the dramatic diurnal fluctuations are attenuated by the Delta Breezes.

It is just weird this year, and I hope there is no wayward arctic blast, otherwise they can really damage even the cold hardy citruses and can kill my bananas that are starting to shoot up.
