Hi,
This is my first banana plant, and I had logged on Google to get info about how to raise it here in MidMissouri where you don't see many of them. Happily, I did find a blood banana plant in my local nursery and couldn't resist buying it. At present it is about 36 inches tall and has beautiful dark red stripped leaves. I plant to put it in a large pot and at the base of the plant will put dark wine and green stripped coleaus. We are in Zone 5b and 6 and it will be necessary to move it inside during the winter. That is about all I know about raising banana plants, but I'm thrilled that I've found the right place to help me learn more.
