Does anyone have a bordelon pup to sell?
if your winters are cold, wet and or freezing..i would just lift the basjoo up and leave the dirt on the roots and put it in a cool, dry, dark place for the winter. you can chance leaving it in the ground when the corm grows into a thick mat...you will know then its ready to leave in the ground(it takes more people than you alone to move it)..you can put a good layer of mulch at the base of the mat. get a good sized sucker or suckers from it for insurance(cant be too careful).nothing is worse than knowing you could have saved your corm.

as far as the elephant ears..you can split them from top to bottom. let them dry and heal..i would try to get an eye on both sides you split.keep in mind if the corm or bulb is small the plant will generally start out small..you can let them grow bulblets to propagate as well...i started with 5 bulbs now i have a 5 gallon bucket full of soft ball sized ee bulbs. you would do better just lifting all of them and storing em if you only have a few come winter. cut off all green parts and let them dry before storing..put em in a cool, dry, dark place as well.

you can try stokes tropicals for bordelon since they are in la. and i think thats where the plant comes from.
