Dear Subscribers to the Banana Forum,
You will find below a brief text sent by Jarred Cohen who has created www.bananas.org , an electronic forum for individuals who want to share information about the cultivation of different varieties of bananas.
Kind regards
Pascal Liu

IBS is dedicated to increasing awareness of the banana plant as a food source as well as it's ornamental use in the landscape. We have an active community of people sharing tips about growing and identifying different cultivars of banana, sharing photos, as well as trading banana plants.
Several people have met up with each other and visited each other's collections where bananas.org was the catalyst. We plan to offer more organized and prepared meetups in the future.
Currently there are two staff members, myself, and Gabe Sachter-Smith. We currently have several hundred members of the society, from Australia, Denmark, the UK, Japan, and South Africa to name a few.
Bananas.org is based out of Davie, Florida. Bananas.org contains many ongoing discussions about bananas, banana care, banana identification, recipies, members from around the world. We have an extensive photo gallery, member map, and other resources for banana growers and enthusiasts.
