Good work. I too am curious which way this cross was performed, technically whichever plant you list first is assumed to be the female, but this guideline is not always followed.

In my experience 'African Red' is sterile both ways, but don't let that stop you from trying, some plants are mostly sterile but will form seed under the right conditions or by chance. I couldn't find any pollen on mine, so it may only be possible as the female.
