Default musa red tiger, hardly any roots?

hi everyonei had a musa skim red tiger given to me for free at a tropical garden centre,it had been over wintered, but it had fallen on its side, when looking at the base of the stem, there was 2 roots that are holding the plant and soil together,i took the plant and of its pot and the pot was full of roots,is there anything i can do,to get more roots at the bottom of the stem,i have potted it up with bonemeal and fresh compost and slow release fertilizer, any other advice or tips would be a great help thanks, best wishes jazz
