I read that you collect edible species. Well Jack, my wife is actually Dominican. Every year we go to the Dominican Republic. However i can't promise anything, it's my goal to collect some little pups there that i can propagate here later on. Thanks for that, I will do the same when I go somewhere abroad (I want to go to Sochi region, Russia in 2 years or so and see maybe Ante down in the subtropical Croatia, or invite him for a stay, show him the city etc...).
I also have a very good friend, an interesting man in Nicaragua (he works as technical advisor to the banana crop industry there), I do not want to strip him of money on shipping, so I would rather wait until he gets back to Slovakia for his reunion (1, 2, 3 years maybe.... maybe more), give him the tour (he studied here a long time ago), a place to sleep etc. You know, he's a friend if mine...
He wanted to send me some plants, but I think that it would be much better, if he didn't spend his money at all like this. He wants to come here, so when he has the chance, we can join reunion with nanas and friendly tours.
There are also many great people from tropics here, lorax is from Ecuador (although Canadian I think), island cassie is from Dominican republic I think...
