Exclamation How do I prepare my Musa acumiata planted in pots for the winter?

Hello all Bananafans
I do need some advise!
I have some Musa acuminata and some M.basjoo planted in pots and just wonder how I should get them the best treatment/care during the winter??
Next year the M.basjoo shall be placed outside year around.
I had one M.acumiata last year and during the wintertime all the leaves went yellow and after a while the plant died!
I have a basement with growing lights and with a temperature of 12-16 C.
Or should they be placed near a window(south).
Onemore thing When do I cut off the suckers?? Shall I do that before winter or shall I do it in the springtime???
I would be so greatful for some help!

Marcus (Sweden)
