We had a discussion about Musa basjoo 'Red' earlier somewhere ( Europe Trade ) and we agreed that it's most probably a Musa 'Dwarf Red' or Musa 'Red'. This will probably stay that until we really prove its hardiness to be comparable with basjoo.

As for your plant, it doesn't look like my basjoo red, so I would go with Musa rubra in your case.
