Neil - your guavas sound like the ones we had in Africa - smallish, yellow skin and sweet pink flesh - super nice to pick and eat out of hand. The ones we get here are large, pale green skin and white flesh that tastes of nothing much. In fact my guava tree is the next thing headed for the compost bin as plants have to earn their place where space is limited and my lychee seedlings are doing well!! MG your papaya is looking very good - congratulations!
