Corsican cold hardy clone ?
Goodmorning,
Here is a Corsica garden cultivated banana. This clone withstand -5°C (22 F) and regrow vigourously the next spring. The owner has got an idea about what it is but I don’t want to tell you now to make the identification more acurate. Could you tell me please, according to you, what it is ? Thanks for help, Phil ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I was thinking the same thing (Orinoko). Gabe will probably chime in. He's the resident ID expert.

Like both Tony and Mitchel say, Gabe is the expert and I hope he will chime in, but I agree, it looks like Orinoco to me.

Wasps on the flowers

Thanks Mark, Let's wait a little bit more. Phil PS : Did you notice the wasps (not bees) on the flowers ? It is the first time I see wasps foraging a flower ! |
Re: Corsican cold hardy clone ?
Would Orinoko tolerate 22F and produce fruit?

Re: Wasps on the flowers
I have watched wasps searching for food on flowers. Wasps eat insects. Flowers are a good place to forage.
I have also watched a hornet skin a catapiller, then carry of the contents. George the beekeeper. Quote:
