Orinoco and Rajapuri?
|
Re: Orinoco and Rajapuri?
All I can offer is that the Raja Puri likely isn't....or maybe mine isn't.
My Raja Puri has leaves that join their stems like a Balbisiana in that they don't taper into it. If your leaves truly do taper into the stem instead of joining at a 90° angle or even looking like the top of a heart, I would say you have joined the vast club of mislabled nanner owners! Good luck on figuring it out! P.S. I also think that most Raja's get a bit more of a swollen stem by that age. Jay:nanarobot: |

Here is a pic of mine from early this year . I wondered the same thing but some folks here say it is normal .

Re: Orinoco and Rajapuri?
Mine looks nothing like your picture. All the descriptions I have read said all green stem and mine has some pink on it. I guess I have no idea what it is now.

Re: Orinoco and Rajapuri?
I am afraid to say for sure, but that could be a rajapuri, looking at the last photos. The stems look just like the stems on my rajapuris, wich came from a reliable source.
My rajapuris' leaves are even more variegated and stems "red/pink" coloured, but that could be because of them beeing kept in cooler conditions here. I was also under the impression that rajapuri was not a typical variegated and redish banana, but it turned out to be one of the most colourful! Erlend |
