Trade for trade? Dragon Fruit?
I just learned in here why my dragon fruit would not fruit...It needs a pollanator. I do not have the name of mine but when it did flower, the flower was an intense red, almost glowing..if that helps. Would really like to trade with someone that has just a small piece of dragon fruit that does not need a pollinator. Would there be anyone that would help me? I would also pay you for this if you would rather...I just can't go very high on the price but would do my best. Thank you for any direction and help on this.

Re: Trade for trade? Dragon Fruit?
Blue, mine aren't large enough yet to cut, but I'm sure someone here, namely Patty or Richard can help you. Richard sells them through Plants That Produce I won't name prices but they are reasonable and fair, plus Richard is very knowledgable at anything green.
Another place to try is the yahoo group "Pitaya" or the group "Epi's" I belong to both of those and people are always offering or selling cuttings. Hope this helps. Shaggy |

Bluesky, I'll bet that was a beautiful flower!!! Wish you had a pic.
Shaggy is right...you can learn a lot on th pitaya group at yahoo. They've talked a lot about self fertile fruit which it seems most are. I wonder if you coulda pollinated your own flowers(??). I have never seen a flower yet but am hoping for one this year. Congrats on at least getting a flower! |
