Default Help with leaves please!

Hello everyone!!! I was wondering if someone could possibly give me some information. I'm new to growing banana plants but I absolutely love my little guy. I have noticed that the leaves are getting these brown spots, almost like little freckles. I'm terrified something is wrong with him. I am located in NE Ohio, so I know it's going to be rough for him during the winter. If i can figure out how to post pics on here I will so that you can see what I am talking about. Thank you so much for any info!!! -Manda

looks like it could be spider mites spray some mild soap water on the leafs and it should take care of the problem but you will need to do this about three times in a 2 week period since the water will not kill their eggs.
sorry I don't like spraying chemicals on plants, but if you must then diazinon or seven dust will kill em

Thanks so much! I'm willing to try anything. I also don't want to put any chemicals on the plant either so I will definitely try the soap water. Would regular dawn soap be okay? Also, I have noticed tiny flies on the leaves... Haven't seen any spiders. Again, thanks so much for the info!

dawn would be ok,1 drop to 16 ounce spray bottle or just high pressure spray of water and wipe the leafs clean with paper towel would do fine.

p.s. the mites are hard to see with the naked eye
they will be on the underside of the leaf you might see some webs with your eyes.
