Default What's happening to my Basjoo?

I have several Musa Basjoo that I overwintered in a shed. I pulled them out and planted them in pots about a month so I could still pull them in if we had a cold snap.

They all started pushing out new leaves right away. (although the first ones were looking pretty rough.) I figured everything was good however...

Now it seems like new leaves are pushing up before the last ones are fully out. On one plant there are actually two new leaves pushing out of one that isn't even half way out!

I know I've heard about this before I'm just not sure where or why it happens.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Okay okay no responses. Hope I haven't offended anyone or maybe I just asked a dumb question. Sorry if that is the case.

I've read about choking but not sure if that applies to leaves or flowers?

My plants all seem to be coming around now that the weather is heating up though. All except one. The p-stem is shaped like ahh...well a banana??? Its growing all crooked, almost "C" shaped. It is still pushing out nice green leaves though?

When I feel the main stalk it almost feels as if there are two stems. One that is cut off about halfway up and then the crooked one coming out.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Sam

Well, Sam, I have read somewhere that the problems with the leaves could be due to overfertilizing. but that doesn't seems the matter in your case.
In any case it is not 'Choking', that has to do with the bananas not the leaves.

I hope others can tell you more.
