Default Are Banana Corms Edible?

Yes, silly question I know. I was watching a video of someone dividing a corm and it sort of reminded me of a potato.

Technically I believe so. I've heard of people eating the p-stem and flowers, so why not the corm? Never tried it though but I doubt it is unsafe to eat.

In Ethiopia they grow ensures just for the corms, I tried boiling a musa basjoo corm after hearing this, it was actually quite nice and I wasn't sick afterwards.

Maybe get a big enough corm and cut fries out of it and deep fry them. Corm fries.

Not only banana corms, but also male buds can be served for salad.
But I dare not to eat it as its taste is not recommendable.

So it doesn't have a flavor that would remind you of a potato?
