It's either the hardiest or one of the hardiest.

Cat 2 winds can't touch it.

Only the Morado is better.

I'm not surprised, why would anyone tell a monkey with a gun about the best bananas?

Are FHAIs considered to be among the most delicious bananas? I didn't see any of the varieties I was growing on that list so I'm holding out hope that this miracle Verdin banana doesnt put mine too deeply to shame :ha:

FHIA bananas are developed with bunch size
being more important than flavor.

Hungry people are concern with food first,
and a discriminating palate later.:ha:

So the Veinte Cohol looks like a definite winner for me, cant beat a banana that fruits in five months. Now just to find out if it's been introduced to my country yet....

If I can't get my hands on any of those then the Mysore looks like a definite second; that bunch in the picture was huge. Thanks for the help! :D

I'm also seeking good tasting, short growing time COLD HARDY , Wind resistant nanas. How does verdin stack up?
This Musa Verdin appears to have alot of red in the color - that is normally a red flag for those looking for cold hardy - please correct me if I am wrong in thinking that reds are less cold hardy. Zone 8b-9a.
16ft pstem is not easy to winterize.
Thanks again..

I am just wondering if you know that banana tree store is a front for the infamous Florida Hill Nursery.
