![]() Good day today. First harvest of Hua Moa & 1000 Fingers, along with more Williams. Also harvested 1 ripening hand off my first bunch of Mysore.
1000 Fingers, not anywhere near as big as I expected. Exactly 6 months from blooming. ![]() Hua Moa, 20 fruits total, 2 previously removed from the bunch due to early ripening. 12 weeks from blooming. ![]() Big bunch of Williams. 30lbs, 7 hands, 93 fingers. Just shy of 6 months from blooming. ![]() My first good sized bunch of Gros Michel. 3.5 months from blooming. Could have stayed a bit longer on the plant, but this was in the same place near my street where they were stolen last year. They seem good sized. 35 lbs, 6 hands, 68 fingers. ![]() Last edited by robguz24 : 06-14-2013 at 09:35 PM. |

![]() My first Tall Namwah harvest. This was sold to me as Ele Ele from Aloha Tropicals. 15 months to flower, just a few days under 5 months to harvest. 65 lbs, 11 hands, 167 fingers. Biggest bunch of anything I've ever grown. Got another coming that was sold by another seller as Misi Luki. When in doubt, it's probably Namwah!

![]() Hey Rob,
You have a pic to explain what you mean? Although your awesome growing conditions with humidity might play a factor, since socal is dry high heat not much to do to replace that here and my micro climate frost does not help the hanging bunch at all lol, which will affect the bunch size/shape. What has been your taste test results for the Ae Ae from your location? I am curious in regards to eating out of hand as dessert or cooked? Thanks, Big Tony

![]() Rob,
thanks for sharing the links. Very Interesting, I noticed your Ae Ae was much fuller on the tips and more pinkish then green on the skin where mine are more greener. The advantage for the fatter naners is definitely the winter weather hang time that Hawaii has compared to a non tropical area like So cal that is much cooler, makes a huge difference in bunch size filling out IMO. Flavor profile was interesting different then yours. Do you smoke? Thanks, Big Tony Quote:
