![]() If you have an Asian market nearby you can root/plant/make your own slips using tubers as you would with sweet potatoes; I did that when I lived up north. Be careful down here because they can become invasive.

![]() What about Farmers and flea markets? I did a quick search on the area Big Pine Key and there are some. My lemon grass came from a flea market in Jacksonville; rooting it was easy. Sadly I lost my sugarcane starts in my move but I rooted it from stalks found at a local produce market so it can be replaced.

![]() the flea market on big pine doesn't have much in the way of plants, and the veggie stand just has your regular veggies (tomatoes, onions, peppers ect) when i go to homestead/redlands I get stuff there at the farmers markets like sugar cane and malanga
