What knd of soil does bananas like, Mine is really starting to grow but I want to know what is best for it and how much moisture does it need.
I know it's been a while since I was last here but only have One Banana to worry about. It will be broght in this fall.

Banana's like well draining soil so they don't have to sit in Aqua, and then they will drown unless its a water banana, and doubt it is. I use 1 part cow manure, peet moss, Sand, mix in some Mycorrhizal Fungi to help the roots grow for a healthier banana :^)

I mix soil and horse manure. if you can find it without shavings it is better.my horses tend to go in one place in the pasture so I just scoop it up with the front end loader and make my beds out of it. feed the bananas a little 0-0-0-25 for potassium.

Thank you all. Guess I'll be changing out the soil. Put me to wok for my Banana. It is a red striped one and it is growing. Will try to get pic, whenever I learn how to post it. Thanks again, everyone for your help.
