It's the only known plant hormone to inhibit lateral bud growth. (Cytokinins stimulate lateral bud growth.) Theoretically, it would inhibit banana suckering and, thus, reduce the need to desucker banana plants. Unfortunately, you can't buy it, yet, but keep your eyes open. |
