Default Bananaing for advice with other plants

I have a plan to work on obtaining the money to buy the supplies for a indoor banana plant and carolina reapers, tomatoes, and pineapples.
Im worried about competition on my nutrient blend, and competition for light.
i know theres some 6fters that look fairly good (such as Scarlet bananas) for the system. i want to have a setup thats fairlhy competition free, but also grows everything i want. this will be a indoor hydro system that ill build, and i plan on getting a 8’ by 4’ up to 10’ tall with extensions i can buy. by default, its up to 7’11” wich is fairly sizeable. i want to be able to bannana with confidence, and possibly do quite the tree setup.

Any responses to help me figure stuff out would be useful. If anyone has experience stacking plants, let me know. my reapers will be 5ft when done growing.

Welcome to the rabbit hole of hydroponics
For some great real hydro experiences check out the many hydro Reddit forums.
You will find a lifetime of real experience that can help you make great decisions.

Use keywords hydroponic, hydro, cannabis hydroponics, banana hydroponics ....you get the idea.
Hydroponic cannabis forums have some of the best cutting-edge ideas because of the investment return.

The plants mentioned you want to grow have different mature times with the pineapple and banana at 2-3+ years and peppers at 1 year.

Most banana plants will have a large footprint for your lighting grow area.

I have observed banana plants with grow light uplighting because of height/canopy limitations. Both sides of those big leaves are used for photosynthesis so you may light from both sides.

When you get a chance check some out

Interesting! i might have to consider custom light fixtures or some form of custom solution because from what i understand the carolina reaper plant stems will reuse themselves next gen whereas pineapples and bannanas have a lifecycle
very interesting will do more research

A pro reaper tip to keep the plant small and full of buds is to pinch them.

i dont expect myself to be consuming those peppers too quicky, so unless you have done it and noticed a denser amount of peppers (wich is the purpouse im growing carolina reapers for) then im not sure if it will be benifical for my purposes.

Considering banana plants are suceptible to root rot, im wondering what the best grow media is. might consider using a coca peat mixture with some drainage. it also possibly allows me to use a better sized pot since the only 20 gallon buckets i can find are trash cans and not short enough. i might be able to home it in a bigger plastic tank (easy to find, hopefully with offset hole) And i can just home it there, im mainly worried about root rot
