flower of banana are common used as food in indonesia specially in village. my mom sometime cooking the flower. bu not every kind bananas have delicious taste of flower. there is have good taste but other not

I actually just made corm chips the other night! (out of BBTV infected 'Kamaramasenge'). Corm can be prepared in a variety of ways, there is no standard and its basically like a big potato, but whatever you do, I recommend you cook it for a long time as it helps to reduce the astringency and stringyness. Im sure some varieties are better than others, but I don't know which ones are better, but all can certainly be eaten. The flowering stem and young inner pseudostem (white parts) can also be eaten, some varieties are bitter raw and others are nearly tasteless, you'll have to experiment with what you got, but I've boiled the young inner pseudostem for a long time and then added other things into it and it came out alright, Id try it in soups or curries. These parts really vary in taste by variety, none are really that good on their own it seems, but they are not bad if done right and can certainly help to add mass to dishes. If you do something with boiling it will also help to change the water a few times.

They use the leaves to wrap tamales in Colombia. They also wrap cheese to give it a flavor. As well as a kind of bread-product that they use to make- tortilla soup (though it's very very different than Mexican tortillas.)

My maternal grandma was peranakan, I'm eurasian.

Of course I eat nasi lemak - the tastier ones are wrapped in banana leaves! Those are often breakfast fare. A lot of nasi lemak stalls in s'pore is are more nasi padang style.
