Paphiopedilum 'Luther Pass'

Hi everyone! I know this isn't an orchid forum, but thought I'd ask anyway...I know many of you probably grow different types of plants, so maybe someone can help. I received a paphiopedilum 'luther pass' (lady slipper orchid) a few days ago...does anyone have one of these and if so, what type of culture does it require? (I know it likes to be kept moist, I'm just not sure how moist and as for lighting reqs. I think it is comfortable with those of phalaenopsis and african violets). Again, thanks for any help!

yes, keep it moist, because this orchid doesn't have bulbs like an dendrobium.
keep it warm, I think in summer around 25-30 degrees and in winter around the 20 degrees.

They're native to cloud forest and high tropical rainforest here. Keep 'em warm and moist, as dablo suggests. They tend to flourish in about 1/2 to 1/4 filtered sunlight (ground to low canopy) so indirect or filtered light is probably best for it.

Thanks guys for your response...It is setting in my living room in front of a couple of french doors (east sunlight). It gets good morning sunlight up until around 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. The night temperature is around 60-65 F. and the day temps. around 70F. or a little higher. The orchid dealer said that it should bloom within 12 mos., they also said to water it about 2x a week. It is in a tall, 5" plastic pot, I watered it the day after I got it (it was still a little moist) but I figured it was at least 3 days before it was watered that I got it, so in keeping with their directions I watered it again the day after I received it. These bloom in spring and fall; do you guys think its possible that it could bloom this spring, or am I just wishfully thinking?

Might be wishful thinking - give it till fall. In my experience, when Paphs bloom they go all out, so the fall display is worth waiting for. Do you know what colour it's going to be?

I believe it will be white and maroon with black spots!
