This Raja was a bit different. It was replanted in my lawn. The top of its pseudostem did not show any growth for over a month until one day I saw that it was growing from the base instead of the top. That is not its pup because it was growing very close to the bigger pseudostem.

Hi jtkk, it is a pup from your main pstem. This happens quite often with well developed plants when they are stressed. They will stop growing, go into dormancy and reproduce a pup. It can even happen with very small plants.
