Put rich, wormy soil at base of nanners, planted (from front right to left back) artichoke (all but one to be transplanted later) Thai Yard Long Purple beans to climb nanners, Echinacea, and Blue Podded Peas (on the backside so they'll get afternoon shade). The Thai beans will shade the nanners in scorching summer heat, did this last year with another climber, worked nicely. |
