Look closely - you will see that this banana decided to start over from the bottom. After recieving the banana, it was planted in a 1 gal container. Shortly thereafter, the new growth emerged from the base of the pseudostem. Of two larger initial leaves, one has died off and the other you can see here suported by a stake.
