Trachycarpus Fortunei planted April 2007. It has already produced three TWO new fronds (by 5/30/07) and is working on a third!
Hope it can handle these Chicago area winters.

I have 5 myself, 3 of them smaller than yours but they survived allright last winter in Holland without any protection.

This thing is over 6 feet tall now!! Gets no leaf burn and grows like a weed, I LOVE IT! Just took the protection off I'll post pictures in Spring '10.
