Live and learn. The chair as a prop was too low. Needs to be propped right up near where the bunch emerges from the pseudostem or you risk it folding over like that.

For me, it fruited at 14-16' of p-stem typically, with leaves way above that. That could have been OK, but it always needed to be propped to avoid collapsing, and I found it too tricky to fit props...

I think you'll love it. With great reluctance, I got rid of it because it was too tall to manage in my yard. It was my favorite for flavor.

If you just lop off their heads, they'll grow right back. You need to remove them to keep them from just shooting back up or sending new pups up from the base of the corm even if you've managed to...

This variety gets tall. I don't think I ever had them fruit as short as 12'. More typically 15-16' p-stem height.

I’d just add that commercial grown Cavendish bananas we buy at the supermarket in the US are harvested at about 3/4 full, i.e., not fully mature, yet they ripen fine when when gassed with ethylene....

Ironically, Goldfinger bananas (FHIA-01) are not finger size. They are larger, though their size varies with how they are cared for, which is true of any banana. Mysore are closer to finger size...
