Description

A low (Ha'a) plant with short, broad and hard leaves. The fruit wich grows on a short rashis in a compact stocky bunch and is edible fresh or cooked when ripe. The skin is yellow when ripe. Ha'a is taller than the introduced 'chinese banana' wich bears larger bunches. The trunk is black, maybe extint. Fruit and leafstalk are bunched, short rachis.
