Hiya

Hey bigdog and all ..... We is here in beautiful Tellico Plains TN. Actually been here for a few months.
Still trying to figure out where I can plant WHAT !

Clay soil is new to me. Seeing as we are on the edge of a National Forest (Cherokee) we have lotsa shade interspersed with sunny patches.

Plant wise I lost EVERYTHING when we moved save a little basket of tillandsia I stashed behind the car seat.

Everything ( nanners, EE's, fancy named irises and daylilies , brugs and my beautiful mini hosta collection ) was potted & labled ( whew that was a job) sitting just inside the horse barn waiting to be moved on our 2nd trip.

We had to get the horses and dogs and kennels up to TN and situated first

During the night WI had a sudden freeze that wiped out everything. I still get upset looking at my old photos.
Tons of work being done to our new place to make it as we wanted but I finally found time to boot up the old PC. Miss ya all . Catch ya later gators
shirley

oops ! guess I otta change my location on my profile. *g*

Congrats on the move! Sorry to hear about the loss of all your plants...that's unfortunate. Well, I guess it gives you an opportunity to start a new collection or branch out in new ways due to your new climate status.

Well your not the first (neither was I for that matter) to escape the land of the frozen tundra. Hate to hear your plants fate.. Good Luck in transitioning to more heat. :^)

Thanks guys ;-)

I love pushing the zone but it will not be quite the challenge it was in WI . Strangers would stop on the road and stare at my giant assortment of tropical plants and some would ask for a walk through my Northern jungle.

So glad to be back with all my fav banana nuts ♥

I escaped from WI a year and a half ago and am back down in TX. WI is a great state, just way too cold!

Good luck with the rest of your move.

Dave
