Are you retired now or still working with bananas in the tropics? Do you grow any bananas as a hobby at your home? When you have time, please share some of your stories. etc. I was in Yuma about 20 years ago and had some nice weather in February but don't think I want to visit in June!  Best, Harv

My banana work these days is limited. Travelling in a post 9/11 world is more problimatic.
I have occasionally planted some bananas here, but always seemed to be travelling too much to treat them well. I put in several plants this spring, and they are coming along now... the ennano gigante died, but the rest seem to be okay for the time being. We have had a cool summer so far. 103 today is just under normal. I still actively consult, research and farm various crops, and bananas are mostly a hobby here these days... As for stories? perhaps at some point I will post something. but dinner is waiting! Cheers, Steve |
