Default Hello

Hi. My name is Nick and I currently have 2 Cavendish bananas growing in my home in Portland Oregon. I think one is a dwarf and one is a super dwarf. Right now it is cloudy and rainy and I am using a small purple/red grow light to little success. One of the pups lost almost all its leaves and is now just starting to unravel the one that was emerging from the center. The other one was in better condition and only lost one of the two outer leaves. Now it has one emerging center leaf and one leaf on the side. I am hoping for fruit and have heard they can grow fairly well here. I also have coffee plants at home that I am hoping to get beans from. Thanks for having this forum. It has been helpful for learning.

Hello, I'm Kat. I'm in Gresham and pretty frequently am in Portland so just throwing that out there. Would be cool to know other local-ish growers of bananas.

Portland or bananas... right now I'd definitely choose bananas over Portland.
