![]() New to this site and wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm also new to growing and maintaining banana plants and trees and found this site most helpful. My mother-in-law turned me on to banana plants with her Ensete ventricosum. Now I'm in the process of looking to buy and grow that species for fun, I just think they are beautiful plants to have both indoors and out. Anyway just wanted to say hello. Feel free to offer any type of advice as I am new to these types of plants and have read they are quite challenging. Thanks for having me
Matt

![]() Hiya Matte and welcome to the .org!
![]() Yes, Ensete ventricosum are great plants to have. Check out the other gang members like the E glaucum - which germinates very well from seeds, the E superbum - an extremely lovely low growing species and also the E livingstonianum which has gorgeous leaves. All the best! ![]() |
