Hello
I am new to this forum, though I have grown bananas off and on for years. I live in the Albany Ga. area, zone 8a or 8b, depending on which zone map you use. My home is on lake front property so I have a little micro-climate going on and my bananas don't die back every year, especially 07/08 when we really didn't have much of a winter and all my mature plants produced bananas. I have never really taken care of them, but I have recently gotten bit, so to speak, by the gardening bug and am leaning towards tropicals, which I realize can be frustrating where I live. That is the main reason I joined this forum, in the hope that I might learn something from those of yall that know what you are doing.

Re: Hello
Howdy Jay! Don't worry about the tropical bug down there in Georgia; think about us poor souls up here in Maryland, Tennessee, New Jersey, New York,.....
