Hello from Mali, Africa
Hey hello, I am Casper, a Dutch guy and I live in Mali in Africa. Two months back I acquired a small banana plantation with about 350 trees. I did not know much about banana cultivation ( and am still learning) so that's why I joined. I am managing it not really for the money, if I break even I am happy, and I have given employment to some locals.
Growing banana's here in the bush bush of Africa ia a bit different from the ' developed' world since many of the necesities are not available here. Things like good fertiliser, even simple things like good wood to make supports. But, one improvises and manages, although this morning I found 5 trees had fallen due to heavy winds. Anyway, I am happy to be here, hope to learn a lot and if anyone is ever in the neigbourhood, please drop by. Casper Last edited by Casper Jansen : 05-31-2015 at 12:28 PM. |
