Hey Paulo, good to hear from you. Where do you live? I'm in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. Are you growing bananas, or perhaps, something else?

Terry

There really is a Bayou La Batre? I thought that was made up for Forrest Gump!

Oh yes, there really is a Bayou La Batre and parts of the movie were filmed here in the Bayou. In addition, we're the seafood capitol of Alabama. Great little town.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I live in Ann Arbor Mich. I have recently bought a bunch of different banana plants from ebay that are 8-12+ inches big. I have them under lights right now. Plan is next summer is to have an area for them grow over winter (some home renovation happening). I had a few plants before but they were killed off one winter when I was in mexico for a 5 weeks and they were overwatered I think. Eventually I would love to have a AeAe. Those things are awsome. Seen some on ebay but size of them was quite small and from all I have read, better to start out with a big plant. Probably will try to get one springtime. I have been reading around the the site here and enjoyed all the info you all have here.
