Hi from Poland :)
Eyup!
It's my first post in which I'd like to say hallo to everyone. I'm Marcin, 29 y.o. I'm from Poland zone 6A (but live in Germany at the moment). So, I'm into bananas, palms, yuccas and other exotics of which my collection keeps growing. I got basjoo, sikkim 'Red Tiger', 'Siam Ruby', some Ensetes, trachys, Butia and many more "treasures" People here say I got totally crazy cuz of my hobby Looking forward to meet people from cold zones like mine to share our experience |

Hehe, you definitely got crazy, but the good news is that you're not the only one crazy here.
Welcome from your southern neighbour.

Re: Hi from Poland :)
Witamy Marcin! My family on both my parents' side came here from Poland 130 years ago and brought with them a passion for growing unusual and beautiful things - that's probably one of the reasons I ended up on this site! Pittsburgh PA is an officially Zone 6 area, so we share the same growing challenges and probably similar experiences with neighbors wondering what crazy inappropriate (to our climate!) plant/tree/vine we will be growing next!
Zgadzamy się na mają Państwo tutaj! Max

Re: Hi from Poland :)
Do you think a greenhouse will protect my plants from cold during 2-3 weeks of temps like -30C. I cannot afford to heat it
Anyway, no need to import it. Plenty of the stuff here |
