I need your help so bad
Hello to everybody out there
As you see, I am a newcommer to this site, but what you cannot see is I am 61, been living in France and plan to return back home for retirement. 2 years ago I planted 1 acre of plantain in forest land, but unluckily the yield was poor due to diseases an material ununiformity. I have visited large plants here in Cameroon, but their secrets they won't share. One of your members(malikopo39) in Zambia exactly explains what I am in need of: "I have been taken in by propagation of bananas by way of tissue culture and would like to try my hand at it but the laboratory-type regime does not suit the environment I am going to be operating in.(...) I would like to hear from members who have had experience with tissue culture to help with information and suggestions on how this can be done (...) I hope this guy is not gonna kill me for quoting him. Anyway, I need your help so bad. Have a nice day |

Re: I need your help so bad
Welcome aboard, Bernardint ! You've come to the right place. While I have no experience in large-scale or TC projects, there are many here who have. Check the "Tissue Culturing" section & see for yourself. Also, a free DVD is available here on Commercially Grown banana ventures in Hawaii. It is very scientific, comprehensive, and is called "Growing Bananas". You can find it in the 3rd sticky-thread in the "Main Banana Discussion" section.
Hope you have a great time here, I have! |

Re: I need your help so bad
Yeah, it might be much easier to purchase TCed starter plants from Agristarts or some other website. Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it here! There are lots of great resources and knowledgeable people, so if you are researching TC, I'm sure you'll find it here! ENJOY!
