Hiya Musa Madness: It's Jo in Melbourne Australia!

Hi Musamaniacs,

I'm a palmaholic from IPS, but I can't take or leave bananas, either. So I thought I might join in the fun here.

One thing I love about growing them is that they are in no way character-building. Aaah, instant gratification! From microscopic to epic in a couple of months...

Here in Melbourne, Australia I'm growing M sikkimensis, basjoo and 'Yunnan'. Also have a small ?lasiocarpa and a mystery one that may produce fruit.

I'd love to hear from any Victorians reading this board and I certainly have some spare plants!

Cheers All.

Hi Jo!

Glad to see you made it here! A big, warm, welcome!!

A glance at the member map indicates zero nanner enthusiasts have joined our ranks from across the pond as of yet (or if they have, they didn't pin themself to the map). But I'm sure now that you've trailblazed into here, they shall be soon to follow!

Nice collection you have going...
Soon you'll go from watching one new leaf per day to one new pup per day!

I'm looking forward to the good times ahead! Great intro post!
cheers

Hi Jo, as Jarred said, a very welcome as probably the first australian member.
I also hope more Aussies will follow your example. Great soccer team by the
way, I enjoyed them

Thanks chaps! It's very nice to be welcomed. I don't want to be quite so unique though - where are the other Aussies all hiding?

Here are a coupla pix from my garden, sikki and Yunnan:

:06: PS These bana-icons crack me up.
