myrium
Hello, I am an island dweller, avid gardener and love growing any kind of plant, especially tropical.
Over a year ago I purchased a rajapuri banana plant at an exorbitant price. It arrived healthy, about 2' in height with instructions on planting and care. The first year it grew 4 leaves but never grew in height. This year it has 6 leaves and very healthy but is still 2' feet high. It has been fed, watered and plenty of TLC but to my dismay seems to be a runt. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Re: myrium
Interesting. Are you on a tropical or temperate island? Funny that it is putting out leaves without gaining height. More info is needed pictures would help too.

Re: myrium
Welcome to the org myrium! Post up some pics of your Raja, then we can debate and find out if it really is a raja or not. Also, pot size can make a difference in height and vitality. IDEALLY, you want 1 leaf out per week. Although that can differ due to climate and care.
Post up some pics and we'll check it out! Good Luck with it and happy growing! Shaggy |
