Default New Banana Grower Needs Guidance

I don't have much time on the internet right now because of my gardening. I'm a disabled middle aged lady with a young heart who believes in "Live and Let Live" and is currently fighting with her body until some repair work is done on it too. I am by myself and unfortunately had some problems with criminals here because of my status quo who have stolen quite a bit of my garden tools and lawnmower parts; it's difficult keeping up with the growing grass right now and having to do things by hand. But my plants and trees are my babies like my actual 4-legged babies are. I also have to pay 2-3 times for the repair to be done before somebody does it correctly. It's a nightmare that way living here. I have to do alot of stuff by hand. Thanks for the info on growing bananas. I have an acre of land with plumcots, an apricot tree, Santa Rosa Plum, 3-in-1 Cherry, Fruit Cocktail Tree, 5-in-1 Apple Trees, Nectarine and 3-in-1 Pear Trees. The Orange, Lemon and Lime are in big containers in the event I have to bring them in during a frost or snow. I have a raised garden with asparagus, artichokes, broccoli--new at these, a few raspberries, and tons of weeds and crabgrass I fight with. In two other little raised gardens are lettuce and tomatoes. I belong to Arbor Day Foundation from which I get a variety of trees which I'm replanting all over this yard--all different types from Bradford Pear to Redbud to Maples. There's one area for the fruit trees in the front. I wanted to plant zoysia grass but never got a chance. It's a ton of work and constant fight with the ants and termites who are gorging on my fruit trees and berry bushes> I had a bad case of scale once too--I swear I've never seen any of this stuff before moving here. Oh yes I almost forgot tent catepillars. I also have share it with one pot belly piggy named Inky Pigeen, one chihuahua named Bitsy, one older dog named Snoopy, and two rabbits Topsy and Turvy. Inky Pigeen is four months old and likes to eat the tops off of plants which does present a problem. I'm trying to better wire the gardens so she can't get at them. There are also grasshoppers whom I can't stand.

So to this menagerie I want to add a couple banana plants. I thank you folks for telling me about Banana Wiki and I'll read it. I also haven't got the hang of this writing yet so forgive me. My first attempt was stupid so I'm rewriting it.

Default Thanks to All

Thanks to all the fellow Banana growers out there. I'm sure I'll learn so much from this site. I'm dealing with my artichokes and broccoli now, also blueberries who need fertilizing and Superthrive plus water before the 110 degree heat hits. When I can I'll check this site out but please understand I can't be on alot due to the deaths of my parents and dealing with their estate which an unscrupulous lying thief Executor stole alot of heirlooms from and then all this gardening. It's like a fight to do all this stuff before the heat gets here.

Default Baby Apricot Trees

For anybody who likes apricot trees I've got some babies. I have a dwarf mama I don't know what that is. It was supposed to be a plumcot but because it takes awhile to see fruit it was long after the Nursery sent it. I also didn't have a plum to pollinate with it. They never told me so I didn't plant it at the same time. They're very healthy. So email me at jacqui27330@yahoo.com or here if you want to know about them. I need to make room for other plants. They're presently in containers but I don't want 12 apricot trees. Since I plant a Santa Rosa Plum after buying two trees that were plumcots it would be a hoot if this one suddenly gave out plumcots instead of apricots. But as of last year it was still apricots. This is all I have extra except for some regular trees from the Arbor Foundat
