new Kid on the block
Hello, I’m new member and need help to start my first cloning adventure.
I’m telecom- network engineer on the dole after a long cancer recovery. So my question is : which one is easier to start cloning : Banana or pineapple?. Thanks and Happy new year Andrico |

Andrico, we are in central Florida,
where are you located? Glad to hear that you are a surviver as I am also. Also how do you plan on cloning ? Last edited by oakshadows : 01-04-2012 at 05:39 PM. |

Re: new Kid on the block
Unless you have a tissue-culture set-up, both plants are easiest to clone by propagation.

Re: new Kid on the block
I am not a pro when it comes to gardening, but I understand that it takes a pineapple 14-24 months to produce fruit. If I remember correctly, each plant only puts off one pineapple.
I toured a banana/pineapple/coffee/coconut plantation in Jamaica. It was pretty informative and that was something that I remembered about Pineapple. Ray Tx Hill Country |
