Bananas Brindando new Kid on the block

Hello, I’m new member and need help to start my first cloning adventure.
I’m telecom- network engineer on the dole after a long cancer recovery.
So my question is : which one is easier to start cloning : Banana or pineapple?. Thanks and Happy new year
Andrico

Andrico, we are in central Florida,
where are you located? Glad to hear that you are a surviver as I am also. Also how do you plan on cloning ?

Unless you have a tissue-culture set-up, both plants are easiest to clone by propagation.

I am not a pro when it comes to gardening, but I understand that it takes a pineapple 14-24 months to produce fruit. If I remember correctly, each plant only puts off one pineapple.

I toured a banana/pineapple/coffee/coconut plantation in Jamaica. It was pretty informative and that was something that I remembered about Pineapple.

Yep! Bananas have "pups", little plants that sprout around the base of the "mother" and pineapple can be grown from planting the tops that have been chopped off from a fruit.
More detailed descriptions of each "process" have been posted elsewhere in the forum.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!
